Hello there,

Thanks for your support. :declare:

I've just finished adding all modules from RT7-Booster v3.62 = around 23.000 lines of code. :teehee:

I will test it, before released it, so I need some more time to do this : I will inform you in real time on what happens.

@ Billybully : I'm not sure that's the final version but I'm more closer than 2 months ago. For the moment there are no new modules but I hope that i can add ones quickly.

B)

EDIT : The components removal engine is working great and much more speeder than the old one. BUT I discover some annoying bugs in RT7-Booster software, so i will resolve them before release it. Cheers.

B)

@BillyBully = I resolve various little bugs (Booster is not detecting components that have been already removed or not disabling some functions when you check them,...)

Hello,

RT7-Booster v4.00.123 is released :

Quote

(READ CAREFULLY INSTRUCTIONS IN 1st POST)

* FINAL CHANGELOG :

-> Requirements :
. Windows 7 SP1 x86 or x64
. Net Framework 3.5
. All Languages supported
. HDD : more than 20 Go free disk space
. RAM : more than 50 Mo (I need to optimized that)
. Minimum Screen Resolution : 1366x76

-> Completly new RT7-Booster internal building :
* General :
. Installs RT7-Booster everywhere on your hdd (DO NOT USE "spaces" in ISO name and in Path Directory)
. Optimized for speed and stability
. Contains all modules from RT7-Booster v3.62 (Modules v2.120) + "XBOX360 Controller" so there are 123 components (= IE9, WinSXS Cleaner, Tweaks and Components)
. Add SetACL v2.3.2.0
. Add a FAQ file in the download package

* GUI :
. Support ISO File
. Splash Screen
. New All-in-One GUI
. Transparency On/Off
. Background Changer (You could use your own jpeg or png files = limited to 1920*1080)
. Progress Bar for all jobs (Highly detailed when removing components)
. Fullscreen capabilities
. Maximized at Startup (you could also use minimize, reduce or resize)
. Many GUI improvements
. Informations and Errors popup
. Using "Cleanup" button requires you to restart RT7-Booster

* Components :
. You could select components directly in the GUI (No more modules !!!!)
. Components are divided in 4 sections (IE9, WinSXS Cleaner, Tweaks, Components Remover (= Languages, New, RT7 and Themes))
. Readable "Available Components" count (directly integrated in each sections)
. RT7-Booster search for RT7-Booster components already removed
. RT7-Booster displays automatically components that are not yet removed. So it hides components that are already removed
. Faster Optimized "Components Remover Engine" = finished complete removal (= all 123) in 40 min. = > 2.25 times faster than RT7-Booster v3.62 (+ Modules v2.120)
(To achieve best performance, install RT7-Booster in your fastest HDD or SSD and disable your AntiVirus)
. Add "Check all" components

* Config File :
. Old "RT7-Booster.txt" config file (before v4.00+) in ISO, is not compatible with new v4.00+
. RT7-Booster determines if a compatible config file exists and let you choose between add components in config file (v4.00+)(for keeping an history) or create a new one (v4.00+)
. Check for RT7-Lite's Lastsession in your ISO (If it doesn't find one, RT7-Booster asks you to exit)
. Change the name of RT7-Booster config file from "RT7-Booster.txt" to "RT7-Booster.ini" (RT7-Booster automatically renames it)

* IE9 :
. Internet Explorer Splitstream + Latest Updates with Download Links to Microsoft Site
. Only Splitstream lastest update (for now 9.0.5)

--> NEW COMPONENTS :
- XBOX 360 Controller

* KNOWN BUGS :
- Progressbar is not working properly when removing components

* FUTURE FUNCTIONS to add :
- Detect all removed components from your "RT7-Lite's lastsession.inf" and automatically check them in RT7-Booster
- Benchmark Mode (to know which HDD is the fastest)
- Include ISO name in GUI
- Possibilty to choose output name
- Add many new components to remove
- Detects if you have the lastest IE9 Updates
- Clean code

B)

PS : @ Bhawani007 = thanks.

EDIT : If RT7-Booster crash by an unknown bug so just restart RT7-Booster, it will automatically clean any files used by RT7-Booster

@WinterStorm 2050

Good job in developing a software that complements the function of RT 7 Lite. :thanks:  I have some questions to ask.

1. What does WinSXS Backup Cleaner clean in particular? If I use this function, can I still install future Windows updates in that slimmed-down Windows 7?

2. If I want to load previous Config.ini, where should I place this file?

3. I have integrated Internet Explorer 9 through RT 7 Lite. However, if I choose to remove Internet Explorer 8 through RT7-Booster, can Internet Explorer 9 function well without problem?

4. What is the function of 'Cleanup' and when can I use it?

5. Instead of mounting a ISO file at present, can you make it possible that your software can load setup.exe from a directory, to which the iso has extracted?

Thank you for your help. :)

@ Akf :

1 - It cleans your WinSXS Backup Folder and after you can install Updates with Windows Update without troubles (but sometimes I experienced problems with some Updates but cleaning WinSXS Backup is not responsible)

2 - It can't be loaded because in the future components will be automatically selected (=checked) in RT7-Booster GUI, according to your RT7 Seven Lite's lastsession.

3 - No problems, it just removes all uneeded files from IE8, IE9 will work wonderfully (I use it :whistling: )

4 - "Cleanup" : you could use it when you don't want to Apply your changes. You could also Exit RT7-Booster (Cleanup + Exit).

5 - ok i will add it

Cheers.

Original Size: 3.3GB

Rt7Lite Size: 2.5GB

Rt7Booster Size: 1.6GB(AWESOME)

I Am Just Testing The Software. Trying To Find Bugs In The Software.

@WinterStorm 2050
I Forget To Copy The ISO File. RT7Booster Deleted The ISO On Exiting. (Mostly It's A Bug Check It Out).

I Can Provide More Details If You Need.

Lastly :thanks: For The RT7Booster. Its Simply AWESOME.

Hi, Winter, long time! I keep getting the message "your ISO is not mounted correctly" on every ISO I try it on (5 different ones). I don't use spaces in their names. What else could cause this to happen? Thanks.

@Bhawani007 : Thanks for your excellent help and for your support. :thanks:

It deletes your ISO because, RT7-Booster "output" ISO have the same name : I resolve this in a v4.05.140 that i'm testing now.

This new version adds two importants functions : you could choose your ISO name before creating it and you could mount a folder (ISO already extracted in a folder) or an ISO.

More info soon.

Hey giggedyguy, yes a long time, hope you're alright. Happy to see you again here. :)

Maybe you use spaces or special characters (&,é,...) in your iso name or in the path : avoid this. It's better to copy your ISO in a folder like : "D:\RT7-Booster\ISO".

Let me know how it works.

B)

EDIT : If it always doesn't work try to launch RT7-Booster.exe with "Run as Administrator"...

Doesn't have an option to mount a folder (did you mean WIM?) and the drop down menu only shows "ISO Files (*.iso)". Using v4.04.140, I assumed that was the latest version? Thanks.

Just out of curiosity can this be used on an ISO that hasn't been customized with RTlite yet? Thanks.

P.S. I hope Ben is all right. What's he working on now?

1 - Nope, because Booster :
. is just a complement to RT Seven Lite
. is able to remove more things than RT Seven Lite can do
. it also detects if a lastsession.inf is present in your ISO

2 - He's working on many stuff

I've actually made used RT7Lite on Ben's ISO's as well as official versions. Thinking maybe I need to make a fresh customized version and then see if it works then. That's probably where I went wrong.

Possible...

You could do a fresh ISO with RT Seven Lite that you keep in a safe place. And after you could use Booster to remove more stuff, choose carefully your components in Booster because you could loose some functions in Windows ==> If you remove one that has not been removed by RT Seven Lite, it will not work at all in the future.

I will add a function that read directly your "lastsession.inf", then it checks the right components for you in Booster.

I will also add the loading of a previous "Booster.ini"

ARRRG! Still wouldn't mount LOL What's an RT7Lite Lover to do?

Edit: Copied the new iso to the iso folder in RT7 Booster, so now it mounts. One little bug, if I select something then deselect  it Booster thinks it's still selected and removes it.  Also, when I accidentally clicked Internet Explorer 9 I could NOT deselect it (I'm avoiding IE9 like the plague).

@WinterStorm 2050  It Is Easy To Fix that ISO Bug.

Use The If Statement To Not To Remove The ISO File Present In The ISO Folder.

You Can Use The Substring Function To Check Whether The ISO File Is There Not.

@Bhawani007 : Yep, that's not difficult but I only forgot to add this...

@ giggedyguy : I will investigate this possible bug with check (I couldn't be able to reproduce this bug, maybe you didn't use the last release : v4.04.140). For IE9, this part is not yet completly finished so I will improve it in the future.
